Pressure Testing
Buckhorn specializes in hydrostatic / pneumatic testing of pipes and vessels according to ASME B31.3 and Section 8 Div.1 requirements.
Buckhorn is experienced in utilizing the latest technology and equipment to perform testing in accordance with DOT or customer guidelines. From planning to execution, our experience allows us to a valuable asset to the team and timely completion of the work pack or job scope. Technicians with DOT Operator Qualifications for Veriforce and OQSG are readily available. Pressure testing coupled with field machining, DBB and Isolation plugs and Pigging services makes Buckhorn a single source solution for your pipe maintenance needs.
Projects
Danos – Williams Gunflint Project
Buckhorn provided multiple crews that assisted and performed 60+ hydrostatic and pneumatic tests with zero incidents.
Lauren – CF Industries AM6 Project
Buckhorn assisted Lauren in performing 2 nitrogen test on units 22 (1M cu ft. N2) & 12 (500K cu ft. N2 heated to 500 deg F) – simultaneously. Digitally monitored the temperature ( 300+ deg F) from inside the unit and provided client with a digital chart.
Gulf Island – Bechtel Project
Buckhorn performed 30+ hydrostatic and pneumatic tests on a 36" manifold system to international standards. We also provided pigging, anticorrosion, drying and prepped with a nitrogen blanket for shipping.
Hilcorp – Lil Pass Project
Buckhorn performed a hydrostatic test on an 8 mile pipeline from Lil Pass to Lake Pelto without incident.
